Two Quranic Managers Honored at Opening of Iran Nat’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Two Iranian Quranic managers were honored at the inauguration ceremony of the final round of the country’s 44th national Quran competition.

A number of Quranic and religious officials, including Head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mehdi Khamoushi, attended the ceremony.

It was held in Tehran on Monday evening, beginning with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Hadi Movahed Amin.

It also included honoring Abdolhadi Feqhizadeh, former Quran and Etrat deputy of the Culture Ministry, and Mohammad Reza Mosayebzadeh, former director general of the Quran, Etrat and Prayer Department of the Education Ministry.

They were praised for their services to the Quran and efforts to promote Quranic activities.

The two former managers received gifts from the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, Supreme Quran Council, Quran Servants Society, and the Education Ministry’s Quran, Etrat and Prayer Department.

After the opening ceremony, the competition began in different categories, including memorization and recitation of the Quran.
